Good luck this year.

Going to try and sit out the first few weeks of NBA (not going to be easy). I find that I struggle with every sport at the BEGINNING of the year, supposedly when most sharps find their edges, not me though. I actually like it late in the season much more as their is so a lot more info to work with. In fact I am happy just breaking even first few weeks of any sport.

You must really like the NBA the most to stop football season in middle of the year. I am just starting to hit my stride in the NFL and am actually sad to see the whole football season winding down.

With all that said I am also very excited for hoops season to start, love the DAILY grind it brings unlike football. Plan on being here all year with you. Let's have a great a year

I never stop.
but I take more breaks. few days, here and there.
I don't bet unless I'm sure about something, invest the time.
I just care a lot less than I used to, it's not like I'm going to lose.
I like real people, I lost that for a while.
I think Portland covers 7.5 but waiting for maybe something on the 2nd half
big front just blew through, weather/seasons affect me in a positive way.

Nothing I miss more since living in the desert then the changing of the seasons that we had back in Michigan. I even miss rain.

Believe it or not we are actually going to Utah tomorrow morning for a few hours to look at the fall colors.

Haven't looked at much NBA wise (trying to hold off, not easy) but think little overreaction to Detroit's Hamilton out tonight. They replace him with Ben Gordon, not a dropoff, maybe on the bench. Anyways -4.5 seems short.

Don't think I have spent more then 20 minutes with the NBA this year but the Clippers (who are off to their usuaul 0-4 start) are nearly double digit favorites. WOW!!!

Not saying that isn't justified, just means I have a lot of work ahead of me to get caught up with where these teams are at.

Twolves on 3rd in 4, 4th in 6 tonight. historically the 3rd in 4's affect teams a lot more as the year progresses. right now, legs are fresh for the most part. I don't see much of a reason for LAC to be favored this much, but it is always difficult to figure out how LAC comes out for a game.

Twolves have won last 5 of 6 vs LAC and last 3 in their building. it's a trap, as the public is all over Minnesota, but this early in the year I don't put as much emphasis on that...who the public is on. The Clippers have not been favored by this crazy number very often over the years. I'm not going back to count, but I remember last year they were favored one time by 7' and that was against SAC early in the year, and if I remember correctly they lost SU.

Was going over my notes the other night, just trying to get up to speed before jumping in.

I wrote that you said you very rarely play a road favorite, which I remember you saying.

Also I wrote something that said you don't like playing a favorite (home or road) in the NBA that is more then 3 or 5 points (I actually couldn't really read my own handwriting, LOL).

Was wondering if this is something you might have said or something that you do feel? Not 100% sure it was you, it's something I just wrote down in my notes I keep and it might be from someone else. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks as always!!!

I rarely play road favorites. I do play favorites over 5 points at times, but usually the value is at -2.5, -5.5 and conversely at +1.5, +4.5, +6.5

Minnesota +8 for .8%
ML +330 for .3%

both teams shot over 58% in their last game, both teams with plenty of rest, nothing in previous meetings suggests anything over 191 or so. line move is a bit odd, probably a washed up BW or some other inside info pushing the #, but I may take a little more on the elevated #. other games are a bit cloudy, I don't really feel like messing with totals too much early in this year.

You look at the Pistons tonight at all? Like I keep saying I haven't really jumped into the NBA yet and it's the only game I looked at tonight but wonder if we are getting some value with the perception of how good Orlando is and how bad the Pistons are without Hamilton. Think I can find a 7 soon and might grab it.

I do like the over tonight in cfb, played it yesterday at 53.5 and grabbed a small piece of Bowling Green +3.5.

I'm not sure how bad Detroit is. they may just be a below average team this year, slightly worse than last year. Orlando may cruise ATS for a while similar to Boston 2 years ago, some teams tend to care a lot more at the beginning of seasons than others, haven't followed the Pistons over the off-season but I think Dumars' selfishness may have cost that franchise last year and probably carries over this year with all the beasts in the east. Denver may be an ATS covering team for a while as well, normally I like the home dogs and Indi at home, but some teams are still trying to figure stuff out and that is a huge advantage or disadvantage, depending on the team one has a position on. haven't looked at ncaa for tonight yet.

ya' know, that move to 197' was very very strange. look at all the free throws in this game. almost makes one think the fix was in on this over...but just couldn't quite get it there.

looking at a couple more, this time of year NCAA football changes a little as some teams start giving up so I become more selective. plus, I have a lot going on with Texas, enjoying the ride. it's more of a "crush NFL" time of year.

Houston +2 for 1.1%

I predicted 'Bama vs Texas at the beginning of the year. I have a side bet at big odds on this, one of the guys I lost the Cav future with last year

IF (I mean when) Texas gets there, not sure what I'll do since I'm holding +800
